The large golden sun with eight rays symbolizes the light of freedom.
🌅 Each of the rays represents a province on the front line during the revolution against Spanish colonization.

🎨 The meaning of colors:

🔵 Blue : Peace, truth, and justice

🔴 Red : Patriotism and courage

⚪️ White : Purity and hope

☀️ Golden yellow : Freedom, sovereignty

🌀 A small detail: In times of war, the colors blue and red are reversed !
